About this basic calculator
This is a simple calculator with memory functions similar to a small handheld calculator. Use this calculator for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The calculator includes functions for square root, percentage, pi, exponents, powers and rounding. Control the calculator with mouse, keyboard, number pad or touch.
What are the functions?
÷ Division, × Multiplication, + Addition, − Subtraction, = Calculate, +/- sign toggle, mc/mr/m-/m+ memory, CE clear entry, AC all clear, √x square root, % percentage, π pi, xy exponent, R2 round to 2 decimals, R0 round to 0 decimals.
Examples & operation tables
Operation
Steps
3 + 5
3 + 5 = 8
7 − 9
7 − 9 = -2
3 + (-5)
3 + 5 +/- = -2
7.3 + 12.25 − 10.75
7.3 + 12.25 − 10.75 = 8.8
Operation
Steps
13 × 3 × 2
13 × 3 × 2 = 78
25 ÷ 2
25 ÷ 2 = 12.5
8.35 × 17.25 ÷ 10.16
= 8.141769... (chain)
Repeating Op
Example
Repeat add
3 + 5 = = = → adds 5 each = 18
Repeat multiply
5 × 2 = = = → 40
Power repeat
2 xy 2 = = = → repeated exponents
Memory
Action
mc
Clear memory
mr
Recall memory
m+
Add display to memory
m-
Subtract display from memory
Example
Steps
7+8+9-15 = 9 in memory
mc 7 m+ 8 m+ 9 m+ 15 m- → mr shows 9
Accumulate
15+25=m+; 12×6=m+; mr shows total
Function
Example
√x
36 √x = 6
xy
6 xy 2 = 36
nth root
5√7776 = 6 (via exponent/reciprocal)
Order
Example
PEMDAS
3 + 5 × 2 ÷ 4 = 5.5 (if grouped differently)
Enter appropriately
5 × 2 ÷ 4 + 3 = 5.5
Operation
Calc Steps
1/x (reciprocal)
5 ÷ = → 0.2
Area πr²
π × 8 × 8 = 201.0619
Volume (sphere)
4/3 π r³
Percent
Example
12 + 10%
12 + 10% = 13.2 (10% of 12 = 1.2)
15 is 10% of ?
15 ÷ 10% = 150
List price + tax
35.25 + 7.5% = 37.89
